Hope for Christmas is a one day event that exists to give hope to families in need during the holiday season. This year, Hope for Christmas will be held on December 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hope for Christmas gives LifePoint an opportunity to serve families in need by providing them with food, clothing, and gifts. Please sign up for only one team for the day of the event!

Serve TeamsThere are many different ways to serve at Hope for Christmas. Below is a description of all the different areas in which you can serve. Due to the set-up, the only area that will allow elementary aged children to serve will be Family Fun.

1. Family Companion - This team consists of the people that connect with the guests after they register. Our guests will have a serve team member with them throughout the entire event, and it’s really important that our guests feel welcome and loved. People on this team need to have great communication skills as you will be connecting with your assigned families as you lead them through the Hope for Christmas experience. ***We encourage bilingual volunteers to serve here!**
2. Family Fun - This team will be in charge face painting, crafts and fun. This team will interact with the kids who attend and make the event memorable. Family Fun is the ONLY kid friendly area so if you wish to serve with your elementary aged children, this is the area! Wear fun Christmas attire!
3. Face Painting - These volunteers will serve in the Family Fun area and do face painting. Experience with face painting is preferred but not required.
4. Hospitality- This team makes the hot chocolate that will be served to guests. This team serves hot chocolate and snacks to kids and families attending the event. The guests will be served refreshments near the Santa area.
5. Cookies & Treats Prep- These individuals either purchase or make three dozen homemade treats. NO NUTS PLEASE!!!!!!! These treats will need to be individually wrapped and delivered to the church on December 6th between 6PM and 8PM.This team does not serve on the day of the event!
6. Guest Registration - This team will check all the families and children into the event and call the guests who do not arrive during their scheduled time. Serve team members on this team need to be positive and energetic.
7. Parking - This team team helps park serve team members and guests as they arrive at the event and directs flow of traffic.
8. Santa Photos - Santa lives here! Guests will have the opportunity to see Santa, pose for a photo in front of his display, and grab a candy cane. This team helps direct the children to the display and offers to take their photo for them. If any decorations are needed for the display, this team will assist in any setup needed. This team will dress as Elves and festive Christmas attire.
9. Secret Santa - This area is where the kids get to pick out a gift for a parent/guardian. Prior to the event date, this team will help collect tissue paper and small bags for their area..
10. Toy Distribution - This team keeps the toy bags organized and delivers them to the families vehicle after they register. This team will also have the option to help with collections at the gatherings on Sundays and sorting that will take place prior to the event.
11. Winter Coats - This team helps guests find a coat in their size and make sure that the coats stay organized and replenishes the racks.
12. Pre-event work session This team will meet Wednesday, December 6th to prep the church for the event. This will include decorating areas, sorting toys, organizing book display, prepping family fun, etc
