Boom, a gym rat, obsessed with his max weight on the bench press and his washboard abs, confess that despite his obsession with personal fitness, he finds success with the ladies to be elusive. During a training session with his friends, Kobe and Jah, they are full of questionable advice that further confuses the issue for Boom. Layla, a scholarship volleyball player, and fitness junkie, enters the picture and Boom falls hard for her. Will Boom's friends be matchmakers or spoilers for his budding romance? This production is supported in part by The Black Seed, a national project funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, in partnership with The Billie Holiday Theatre, New York, New York Professional Stage Reading directed by AKIN BABATUNDE. Produced by CURTIS KING
